Edison Business Advisors is staffed with accredited Certified Business Intermediaries and Merger & Acquisition Professionals committed to helping people planning to sell a business or acquire a business. Credentials

Our team is highly credentialed including:
• Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designations from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA);
• Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Professional (CM&AP) designations from Kennesaw State University;

• Trained Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) from the Exit Planning Institute;

• Trained Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) from the National Equipment & Business Builders Institute;

• Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts;

The CBI requires meeting stringent education and performance requirements as well as the high ethical standards of the IBBA. The CM&AP requires achieving in-depth knowledge of the specialized approach required to successfully prepare and execute lower-middle-market transactions (above $1M in EBITDA). All of our team members hold MBA degrees from top-notch business schools including the University of Michigan, the University of Iowa, and Arizona State University.

Experience

Prior to brokering businesses, our team members bought, sold, and operated several businesses in the automotive, IT and transportation sectors, and worked in Corporate M&A at firms such as Ford Motor Company, General Electric, and McGladrey. Our team is members of IBBA, M&A Source, Business Brokers of Florida (BBF), and the American Business Brokers Association (ABBA).
