May 7, 20 Featured Speaker is Chuck Carter
Chuck Carter will talk about the importance of non-profits and volunteering. At age 12, Chuck Carter learned the importance of giving.
He handed out popsicles to neighborhood children until there were none left. Despite not leaving a popsicle for himself, Chuck had a huge smile.
And his grandfather noticed.
“Don’t forget that feeling,” his grandfather said. His grandfather also said another thing Chuck remembered: “We’re here to serve others.”
From becoming a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout to helping a neighbor lady to giving decades of service to the military to being an active church member and member of the Kiwanis and Lions, Chuck continues to do work with a smile on his face.
Last weekend, he and other volunteers worked on a project as part of Paint It Forward Ministries.
On his website, Chuck’s, it says Paint It Forward Ministries, “is an opportunity for volunteers to work together giving a “Hand Up” to a deserving person or non-profit agency. Among those helped: recent widows, Salvation Army, wounded veterans, ACT shelters, philanthropists, churches and hurricane victims. We put smiles on their faces and get smiles put on our hearts at the same time.”
May 1, 20 Featured Speaker is Tina Gonzalez
Tina Gonzalez, a realtor and agent for MVP Realty, will be our guest speaker at the Southwest Florida Business Chat on Friday morning. Tina, one of our newest members, moved to Florida 21 years ago. She’s a native of West Virginia.
Though she’s a sales person by trade, Tina will always be a reporter at heart. She’ll check and research first. She’s incapable of pitching something she doesn’t wholeheartedly believe in. After 25 successful years in corporate sales management roles, she found herself wanting to help bring peace of mind to individuals who have previously struggled with buying or selling a home. Tina is passionate about the needs and goals of her clients. She also has a passion for providing solutions while bringing energy, dedication and personal knowledge.
